Amy Marie Smith

Amy Smith is an artist currently living and working in Richmond, VA. She was born July 26, 1994 in Washington, D.C., and attended VCU School of the Arts, where she received the Peach Tree Merit Scholarship, and the Theresa Pollack Memorial Scholarship. In 2016 she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in Printmaking, and in 2017 showed her work in a solo exhibit in Artspace’s Smallspace Gallery. She has participated in group shows at Glave Kocen Gallery, Gallery5, and has work in the Capital One collection in Richmond, VA.  This Fall she was honored to be chosen for the People’s Choice Award at the annual InLight show (juried by 1708 Gallery) on the grounds of the VMFA, and this Spring, she will be one of the resident artists at the Paris Atelier Fellowship in Paris, France for March and April.
